Rental Terms of Service

1. Rental Agreement

By renting items from Owl & Cat, you enter into a rental agreement and accept full responsibility for the rented items during the rental period.

You agree to:

• Handle all rented items with reasonable care
• Keep items in a clean, smoke-free environment
• Not sublease, sell, or transfer rented items to third parties
• Return items in the same condition as received, accounting for normal wear
• Notify us immediately of any damage or loss

2. Rental Periods & Extensions

Standard rental periods are specified on each product page. The rental period begins on the day you receive the item.

If you need to extend your rental, please contact us at least 2 days before the return date. Extensions are subject to availability and will be charged at the applicable rental rate.

We will send you a reminder before your rental period ends.

3. Deposit Policy

A refundable deposit may be required for certain items. The deposit amount is displayed on the product page before you complete your order.

Your deposit will be refunded in full within 5 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item, provided it is in acceptable condition.

If the item is returned damaged or incomplete, the cost of repair or replacement may be deducted from your deposit.

4. Late Returns & Fees

Items must be returned by the agreed return date. If you are unable to return an item on time, please contact us as soon as possible.

Late returns may incur a fee of 50 CZK per day, up to a maximum of the item's replacement value.

If an item is not returned within 14 days past the due date without communication, we reserve the right to charge the full replacement value.

5. Damage & Loss Policy

Normal wear and tear is expected and will not result in charges. This includes minor surface scratches on game boxes or slight page wear on books.

You will be charged for:

• Missing game pieces or components
• Torn, stained, or heavily damaged pages
• Broken or non-functional game mechanisms
• Water or liquid damage
• Lost items (full replacement value)

We will assess any damage fairly and transparently, and will contact you before making any charges.

6. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a rental order free of charge before the item has been dispatched.

Once the item has been dispatched, cancellation is not possible. You may, however, return the item early. No refund is provided for unused rental days.

We reserve the right to cancel a rental if an item becomes unavailable. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.

7. Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and place rental orders.

Rented items may be used by children under appropriate adult supervision. You are responsible for ensuring rented items are age-appropriate for your child.

8. Delivery & Pickup

We offer delivery within Prague and surrounding areas. Delivery options and fees are shown during checkout.

You are responsible for being available at the agreed delivery time and address. Failed delivery attempts may incur additional charges.

Returns can be arranged via our delivery service or dropped off at our designated pickup points.

9. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of placing your rental order. We accept major credit and debit cards.

All prices are displayed in Czech Koruna (CZK) and include VAT where applicable.

Additional charges (late fees, damage costs) will be charged to the payment method on file, with prior notification.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.
